2022-2023 Educator Grants
Farm to Table: Beef ($5,000): Bay Port Agricultural Education Department
This grant will be used to purchase communal supplies that will allow students to raise livestock from young to market ready for the county fair which requires dedication, determination, budgeting, respect, responsibility and pure grit.
Adaptive Phy Ed Rad Race Runners ($3,395): Bay Port Physical Education Department
This grant will allow the Bay Port Physical Ed Department to purchase Rad RaceRunners to allow students that struggle with independent mobility issues to move independently and not rely on others pushing them in a push cart/stroller. The Rad RaceRunners will be used by students in many outdoor community outings.
Glowforge Laser Engraver ($5,000): Bay Port Family and Consumer Sciences Department
This grant will support the Bay Port Family and Consumer Sciences Department with a $5,000 grant to acquire a cutting-edge Glowforge Laser Engraver. This state-of-the-art technology will empower our talented Bay Port Home Design Studio students to explore endless possibilities in their graphic design skills as they create self-made home decor. The Glowforge Laser Engraver will unlock a new world of creativity within our classrooms.
Meadowbrook Innovative Spaces ($5,000): Claudia Orr, Meadowbrook Elementary
This grant will be used to develop innovative spaces in the hallways at Meadowbrook Elementary to inspire curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking. These funds will be utilized to create interactive learning environments with flexible furniture for students to work on challenges, projects and research outside of their classroom.
