2023-2024 Educator Grants
Music Production ($4,950): Bay Port Music Department
This grant will be used to purchase equipment required to expand music class offerings at Bay Port to include a music production pathway where students will learn about becoming a music producer, recording engineer, composers for various media, and content creators.
Graduate Profile Tools ($2,000): HSSD Teaching and Learning, District-wide
This grant will be used to purchase interactive tools to use in HSSD classrooms that allow teachers to better introduce the Graduate Profile to the students. The HSSD Graduate Profile keeps our focus on seven characteristics our students and staff strive to attain.
Livestock and Sheep Equipment ($2,000): Bay Port FFA
This grant will be used to purchase equipment required for Bay Port FFA students to show lambs at the Brown County Fair.
Science Notebooking Professional Development ($5,000): HSSD Teaching and Learning, District-wide
This grant will be used to bring Weibert Science Phenomenal Notebooks training for all HSSD 5-12 grade science teachers. Staff will be taught a powerful notebooking approach centered around Phenomenon-Based teaching and learning to bring back to their classrooms and students.
Bay Port PAC Livestream Equipment ($5,000): Bay Port High School
This grant will be used to purchase video and live-stream equipment for the Bay Port Performing Arts Center to capture a variety of events featuring students in grades 4K-12. This equipment will allow HSSD to capture events of students in grade 4K-12 and give Bay Port students experience in capturing video with the use of official equipment.
Broadcast Club Headsets ($720): Bay Port High School
This grant will be used to purchase new Broadcast Headsets so students can continue to work in the Broadcast Booth, as well as for a Wireless Microphone Set to continue to improve the production and experience for the student and listener.
