Congratulations to our 2024-2025 HSEF Classroom Grant Recipients! We have awarded seven grants totaling $26,275.

2024-2025 Classroom Grants

All Kids Bike! ($4,000): Howard Elementary
This grant will be used to purchase curriculum, bikes and training to Howard Elementary to teach all Kindergarten and First Graders how to ride a bike during their physical education class.

Wellness Tools ($3,000): Meadowbrook Elementary
​​​​​​This grant will be used to purchase a wide variety of sensory and focus tools to help students regulate their emotions and improve concentration during learning. By incorporating these tools into the classroom, students can take an active role in managing their attention and emotional state.  

Dungeons and Dragons Club ($550): Bay View Middle School
​​​​​​This grant will be used to purchase dice, game boards, a button maker and button maker supplies for the Dungeons and Dragon after-school club. This club has roughly 60 kids who participate annually. 

Math Wipebooks ($1,525): Lineville Intermediate
This grant will be used to provide Lineville math teachers with vertical non-permanent surfaces to enhance student engagement and problem-solving. Lineville math teachers have been conducting a book study on Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathmematics, which highlights the research-backed benefits of using vertical non-permanent surfaces. The Wipebooks allow students to stand, collaborate and problem-solve around the room.  

HSSD Fine Arts Trailer ($10,000): Districtwide
This grant will be used to purchase a 16 foot enclosed trailer for the Howard-Suamico School District Fine Arts program. This trailer will help our many competitive performing arts programs get props, instruments, sound equipment, costumes, etc to and from performances and competitions.

Laser Engraver ($5,000): Bay View Middle School
This grant will be used to purchase a Muse 3D Laser Engraver for students to use as a part of their STEAM classes. The laser engraver will allow students to foster creative problem-solving, collaborative design, and critical thinking, while giving students authentic agency and voice in what they create. 

Bambu 3d Printers ($2,200): Bay Port High School
This grant will be used to purchase 2 Bambu 3D Printers for the Bay Port Tech Ed Department. Through the use of these 3D printeres, students will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard technology, improving their design skills, problem-solving abilities, and career readiness in STEM fields.
