2024-2025 Classroom Grants
All Kids Bike! ($4,000): Howard Elementary
This grant will be used to purchase curriculum, bikes and training to Howard Elementary to teach all Kindergarten and First Graders how to ride a bike during their physical education class.
Wellness Tools ($3,000): Meadowbrook Elementary
This grant will be used to purchase a wide variety of sensory and focus tools to help students regulate their emotions and improve concentration during learning. By incorporating these tools into the classroom, students can take an active role in managing their attention and emotional state.
Dungeons and Dragons Club ($550): Bay View Middle School
This grant will be used to purchase dice, game boards, a button maker and button maker supplies for the Dungeons and Dragon after-school club. This club has roughly 60 kids who participate annually.
Math Wipebooks ($1,525): Lineville Intermediate
This grant will be used to provide Lineville math teachers with vertical non-permanent surfaces to enhance student engagement and problem-solving. Lineville math teachers have been conducting a book study on Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathmematics, which highlights the research-backed benefits of using vertical non-permanent surfaces. The Wipebooks allow students to stand, collaborate and problem-solve around the room.
